Alexander Kveton is a playwright who has worked several times with Theater Reconstruction Ensemble and other companies such as Fresh Ground Pepper, NoPassport Theatre Alliance, Nylon Fusion Collective and many more. He was a contributing artist to AFTER ORLANDO, a collection of new plays from noted international playwrights in response the shooting at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016. Alex just graduated with an MFA in Playwriting, and his last name is pronounced “kv-EE-ton” and you should know that when announcing him. Here he is being casual and totally not moonlighting as a model:

She currently serves as a curator for The Emergence Network, a collective that poses the question, “What if the way we respond to crisis is part of the crisis?” and seeks to create spaces to explore various forms of activism and engagement.  She also hosts Precipice, a bi-monthly radio show that invites open conversation about the troubles of our times. A nature lover making it work in the big city, Annie can often be found hanging with the ducks in Prospect Park, or down at Coney Island swimming in the Atlantic Ocean.

Idelisse Malavé has been nurturing her inner bitch for 40 years and is now letting loose. She led social, racial and economic justice organizations – as Vice President of the Ms. Foundation for Women and as President of the Tides Foundation. She’s author of books and articles, including, most recently Latino Stats (New Press), which she wrote with her daughter Esti Giordani. At 69 years old, liberated from full-time leadership jobs (although, yes, she still does consulting to support her profound shopping habit), Idelisse is now free to exercise her greatest asset: asking the provocative questions that lead you to thoughts and ideas you didn’t even know you had.

Joanne Sandler is particularly bitchy when people offer her seats on the subway. After 30 years as a women’s rights advocate working with feminist organizations around the world – most recently as Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Development Fund for Women, now UN Women – the last thing she wants is to sit down and shut up! At 65 years old, Joanne still travels, consults, writes (her most recent book, Gender at Work, was published by Routledge in 2016) and has breakfast at Starbucks every morning. Accompanied, nearly always, by a huge iced tea, Joanne loves to probe, to stir the pot and to find the stories that you’ve been dying to tell.

Jes Tom (they/them) is a weird queer stand up comic with but one goal: To hurt the feelings of The Oppressor. Born & raised in San Francisco and now established in New York, Jes Tom is a fresh voice in stand up comedy, gleefully providing the nonbinary queer Asian American radical cyborg perspective that everyone never knew they wanted.

Jes has performed in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as at colleges and conferences spanning the frigid American northeast. Jes tells jokes in venues of all sorts, from hipster bar basements to historic performance spaces such as Caroline’s on Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, Bowery Poetry Club, Nuyorican Poets Café, The Town Hall, and The Friar’s Club. Jes’ first 30 minute comedy special, Cold Brew, was recorded live in August 2016 at Astoria’s QED: A Place to Show and Tell.

Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula are artists and entrepreneurs fascinated by communication in the Digital Age. They co-create, produce, and perform in Blogologues, a sketch comedy show that takes verbatim text from the Internet and social media, and puts it live onstage. Jen and Alli have created 30+ versions of the show and were featured on the cover of Time Out New York, which ranked them among the “top ten funniest women in NYC”.

They also wrote and filmed the web series, 2 Girls 1 Show, which pairs scripted antics with IRL interviews of niche internet communities and is currently in post-production. They created No Text Weekend, a global movement to encourage people to talk instead of text, which received pledges from all over the world and was featured in outlets including Good Morning America and Real Simple, garnering over 25 million media impressions, in its inaugural year.
